Houston Rockets guard Kevin Porter Jr. was arrested on Monday for allegedly assaulting and strangling a woman in a hotel room incident.
According to various reports, Porter had been locked out of his room and, with the help of hotel security, entered the room and attacked his sleeping girlfriend, identified as former Women’s NBA player Kysre Gondrezick.
Police stated that Porter hit Gondrezick multiple times and placed his hands around her neck. Gondrezick was taken to a hospital with neck pain and a cut on her face, while Porter was taken into custody.
