Here is where I sit on this game. Tim Boyle steps in as the new starting quarterback for the Jets in place of Zach Wilson, but his performance history at both the NFL and college levels raises questions. Facing a formidable Miami team with a potent offense and a surging defense, the Jets confront a challenging task in ending a three-game losing streak and securing their fifth victory of the season.

Boyle’s experience in the NFL includes both mop-up duty and three starts. During these starts, he has recorded three touchdowns and six interceptions, with an additional three interceptions and no touchdowns in relief appearances. His average performance in these starts reflects a completion rate of 20-for-31 for 175 yards, although the outcomes have varied significantly, ranging from a high of 262 yards to a low of 77.

While the game poses challenges for the Jets, Miami is not without its own considerations, particularly in dealing with the Jets’ formidable defense.

The over/under is set at 40.5 points, and Miami is favored by 9.5 points, an increase from the initial 7.5-point spread. Teams have identified the Jets’ vulnerability in defending against the run.

Noteworthy is Tyler Conklin, who may be undervalued given his recent two-game stretch with 13 targets, exploiting the Dolphins’ historical struggles against tight ends.

Xavier Gipson’s involvement in the passing game is also noteworthy, with the added incentive of six points for a potential return score.

Someone else to consider is Jeff Wilson Jr. if De’Von Achane is out.

The Jets have an amazing pass defense, so I will build some rosters avoiding Miami pass catchers except Tyreek Hill.
