My Showdown Picks for Draftkings:

Here is my optimal DFS lineup for the Eagles vs. Falcons Monday Night Football showdown slate, I want to build around the key offensive play-makers on both teams. Here’s my strategy breakdown:

1. Captain Spot (1.5x points)

  • Jalen Hurts (QB, Eagles): Hurts has a high ceiling due to his dual-threat capabilities. He can rack up fantasy points through both passing and rushing, making him an ideal choice for the captain spot in single-game slates.
  • Saquon Barkley (RB, Eagles) Barkley joining the Eagles is a significant move for their offense. As one of the top running backs in the NFL, his combination of power, speed, and versatility makes him a dynamic play-maker and fantasy goodness.

2. Core Plays

  • Bijan Robinson (RB, Falcons): He is likely to play a significant role in Atlanta’s offense, both as a rusher and receiver out of the backfield. His versatility makes him a strong pick for this game.
  • DeVonta Smith (WR, Eagles): Smith is an explosive playmaker and could have a big night there is no A.J. Brown playing in this one. He offers great upside in DFS lineups.
  • Kyle Pitts (TE, Falcons): Pitts remains a big target in the passing game, and if Atlanta is trailing, he could see plenty of targets, especially in the red zone.

3. Value Plays

  • Olamide Zaccheaus (WR, Eagles): As a cheaper option, Zaccheaus could provide great value if he gets a few deep targets or finds the end zone.
  • Kenneth Gainwell (RB, Eagles): Gainwell could be a sneaky value pick, especially if he takes over third-down duties or gets goal-line work in the Eagles’ rotation.

4. Flex Fillers

  • Kirk Cousin (QB, Falcons): While Cousin struggled in Week 1, he can provide value by stacking with Pitts or Robinson for potential passing touchdowns in this showdown slate.
  • Jahan Dotson (WR, Eagles) Jahan Dotson is expected to take on a more significant role in the Eagles’ passing offense during their Monday matchup against the Falcons, especially with A.J. Brown sidelined due to a hamstring injury.

Here are the 3 players I came up with on this build to start with!

Recap Tuesday

How I did Boom or Bust; β€œTuesday Morning Quarterbacking”

Hello all, it’s a Tuesday and time to look back and say to myself, what I should’ve, could’ve, and would’ve done differently, as a DFS player.

I used to spend most of my time looking forward to the next slate, the next season, and so forth. I find it equally important to stop, take a breath, and start looking back at the process that led me to a winning or losing lineup.

———————————————————————————————————–

Wow, what an exciting game! It was a true slugfest with both teams battling back and forth. In the end, Kirk Cousins put together a winning drive as time ticked down, leading his team to a thrilling 22-21 victory over Jalen Hurts and the Eagles. My DFS lineup performed OK this week, contributing to another successful cash!

Here’s a breakdown of my lineup and their fantasy points:

  • Saquon Barkley: 26.4 points (Capt)
  • Jalen Hurts: 24.82 points (Flex)
  • Devonta Smith: 20.6 points (Flex)
  • Darnell Mooney: 17.8 points (Flex)
  • Dallas Goedert: 6.8 points (Flex)
  • Ray-Ray McCloud III: 7.5 points (Flex)

Although I didn’t come in first place, I still managed to cash, and that’s always a win!
