🏈 Hey, Let’s Go!, I’m thinking New York Giants vs Philadelphia Eagles. I’m putting my stake in the ground and I’m going all in with heavy correlation and stacking.

Barkley: The Rivalry Begins!

Sunday recap from Sunday slates will be out on Monday afternoon below:

This matchup is expecially interesting as it marks Saquon Barkey’s return to the Meadowlands with the Eagles after spending his first six seasons with the Giants

Here’s My Criteria for Quarterback:

1) Can they put up 325 passing yards

2) Can they throw for 3 TDs (When you add criteria 1 and 2 together, that gets me to 28 DK points)

3) Can they rush for 20 yards if so (All 3 criteria together put me over 30 DK points

I landed on Daniel Jones being the guy in Week 7 and will be low-owned by the field. what a great angle, he can get there with his legs as well as passing. He has 2 great receivers to pass too.

Daniel Jones QB, New York Giants

Winning the Milly Maker often requires thinking outside the box, and I construct rosters with a target outcome of 214 points.

The success of this approach variesβ€”sometimes it proves effective, while other times it doesn’t. But, I am playing for first place. If you’re curious about what I mean by this, check out this site for further details.. Playing For First’ in NFL.”

Side Note: I feel very uncomfortable about the lineup below, but that is a good thing, because if I am right I have a great chance to hit for first place.

Afterall, I am going up against in the Milly Maker over $300,000 lineups. My lineup most be different to win.

Defense: Cleveland Browns ($2,500)

2024 Overall Performance

Defensive Metrics

The Browns’ defense has been a mixed bag this season2. Here are some key metrics:

  • Points Allowed: 14th in the league
  • Yards Allowed: 4th in the league
  • First Downs Allowed: 13th in the league
  • Passing Yards Allowed: 7th in the league
  • Passing Touchdowns Allowed: 25th in the league
  • Rushing Yards Allowed: 11th in the league
  • Rushing Touchdowns Allowed: 19th in the league

Key Defensive Statistics (Last 2 Games)

In their last two games, the Browns’ defense has shown some improvement:

  • Game 1 (vs. Baltimore Ravens): Allowed 17 points, 250 passing yards, and 100 rushing yards.
  • Game 2 (vs. San Francisco 49ers): Allowed 21 points, 230 passing yards, and 120 rushing yards.
  • The Browns’ defense has shown solid performance against the pass, but they’ve had difficulty containing the run in recent games. Even though the Bengals’ offensive line has done a good job protecting Joe Burrow this season, I’m taking a contrarian stance and predicting that the Browns will have a strong outing with sacks and takeaways. Their ability to disrupt the quarterback could turn the tide, and I believe they’ll capitalize on opportunities to make impactful plays.\

MONDAY RECAP

How I did Boom or Bust; β€œMonday Morning Quarterbacking”

Hello, all it’s a Monday and time to look back and say to myself, what I should’ve, could’ve, and would’ve done differently, as a DFS player.

I used to spend most of my time looking forward to the next slate, the next season, and so forth. I find it equally important to stop, take a breath, and start looking back at the process that led me to a winning or losing lineup.

Here are my thoughts on this lineup, and I’m about to get real critical! This lineup was an absolute messβ€”probably one of the worst I’ve put together all season. It felt like nothing worked out, with players I was relying on either under-performing, like Daniel Jones, or simply not getting enough chances, like Darius Slayton and Malik Nabers. Missed touchdowns, low yardage, and disappointing scores across the board made it even worse. The bad matchups and lack of production resulted in a lineup that was flat-out uneventful. A Breakdown below:

Quarterback: Daniel Jones

The Giants’ offensive line had a rough time handling the Eagles’ relentless pass rush, making it a challenging game for Daniel Jones, who was sacked seven times. With no explosive plays and missed key scoring opportunities, the Giants couldn’t get on the scoreboard. They even brought in QB Drew Lock to try and jumpstart the offense, but it didn’t work out for the teamβ€”or for my fantasy lineup. Daniel Jones scored 5.96 fantasy points.

Running Backs:

Saquon Barkley’s return to MetLife Stadium to face his former team, the New York Giants, was nothing short of remarkable. He put on a show with 17 carries for an impressive 176 yards and a touchdown, averaging a staggering 10.4 yards per carry. He also contributed 2 receptions for 15 yards. His standout performance served as a powerful revenge game reminder to the Giants that they should have paid the man the salary he deserved. It was dumb on their part to let him go to the competition, he is going to run all over them for year to come. He scored 29.7 fantasy points.

Kyren Williams had a solid real life performance against the Las Vegas Raiders. He found the end zone twice. Though his yardage numbers weren’t astronomical, he rushed for only 76 yards. He was effective when it counted, consistently finding ways to convert key opportunities into TDs. With his $8,100 salary, I needed him to score more than 19.1 DraftKings points to meet fantasy value. 24 more rushing yards would have helped.

Wide Receivers:

Malik Nabers and the New York Giants had a tough outing against the Philadelphia. He caught 4 passes for 41 yards, but the Giants’ offense was severely hampered, managing to score just 3 points for the entire game. Nabers expressed his frustration afterward, stating he was open on several plays but didn’t receive the ball. The coaching staff recognize that dilemma and brought in QB Drew Lock, it didn’t help. Nabers scored only 8.1 fantasy points, the Eagles defense was superb!

Terry McLaurin had a standout real life performance against the Carolina Panthers in the Commanders’ dominant 40-7 victory. He recorded 6 receptions on 6 targets for 98 yards, he had a knack for making the most of his chances. Even with limited passing opportunities after rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels exited early, because of rib injury. McLaurin shone brightly, gaining at least 15 yards on each catch. I just wish he shone brightly fantasy wise, but, his 15.8 fantasy scoring was limited due to the blowout win by his team. The Carolina Panthers are truly an awful team offensively and defensively. Going forward I will be roistering defensive’s against this team.

Darius Slayton, who was part of my double stack with QB Daniel Jones. He managed to haul in 3 passes for 57 yards. He and Malik Nabers were effectively contained by the Eagles defense. He scored 2.1 fantasy points.

Tight End: Jonnu Smith

Jonnu Smith had an outstanding real life performance against the Colts, making a significant impact on the field and exceeding expectations. With a fantasy salary of just $3,400, he delivered a fantastic fantasy score of 22.6. He was Miami’s only pass-catcher to have any kind of success. The Tight End position in the NFL this season is a “dumpster fire.” I will be looking to play more of him in other lineups going forward.

Flex: Jalen Coker

Jalen Coker, the rookie wideout, faced difficulties in tandem with the rest of Carolina’s offense during Sunday’s blowout loss to the Washington Commanders. The entire unit struggled to find rhythm, and Coker’s performance reflected that challenge. He scored only 2 fantasy points, with alot of missed opportunities. He was placed on this roster as my punt play with great upside to score big for his fantasy price of $3,000. In Carolina’s offense he serves as the number 3 wideout until Adam Thielan comes back from injury.

Defense: Cleveland Browns

Cleveland Browns’ defense had a mixed showing against the Cincinnati Bengals. Early in the game, the Browns’ defense locked down Joe Burrow and the Bengals’ offense, applying consistent pressure and creating difficulties, they just didn’t have enough take aways and sacks. Key defensive moments included two sacks and multiple quarterback hits, showcasing their ability to disrupt plays but not enough for fantasy scoring.

Here’s a Breakdown of My lineup and their Fantasy Points:
